Why Nuremberg?
Nuremberg – This name makes some people think of sausages, gingerbread and the Christmas- market, others think of the Toy Fair.
Still others might link the name of the Nuremberg with great figures of art and cultural history:Albrecht Dürer, Veit Stoss or Willibald Pirckheimer.
Nuremberg's most famous son: Albrecht Durer
He was an all round talented and highly honoured artist of the Renaissance. Albrecht Dürer was born on May 21st 1471 in Nuremberg and died there on April 6th 1528. He was buried at St. Johannis Cemetery in Nuremberg.
