He was an all round talented and highly honoured artist of the Renaissance. Albrecht Dürer was born on May 21st 1471 in Nuremberg and died there on April 6th 1528. He was buried at St. Johannis Cemetery in Nuremberg.

By public transport:

Coming from the main railway station, take the underground U1 (direction Fürth Hardhöhe) and get off the 3rd station - Plärrer-. Change to tram No.4 (direction Thon) to Tiergärtnertor (also the 3rd Stop). On foot, you cross the street to the left side (in direction of travel) and walk back a few meters to Burgschmiet Street.
